Nicky Scorpio

Singer, Songwriter, Producer, Podcaster and human that believes EVERYONE should have a voice and a seat at the table

Nicky Scorpio loves art, expression, and storytelling. Culture and expression are the greatest gifts we have to share. He has always been a seeker and a storyteller and it was recently where he realized he needed to share his story. Behind the image is a multi-faceted complex individual.

Nicky grew up in a very unique environment. Being raised in an LGBTQ+ home and being taught about acceptance, social justice, and looking for the good in everyone, it was a shock stepping outside and seeing a very different world. On top of seeing drugs, violence, and prejudice, at a young age, Nicky learned about death, losing his father to AIDS, divorce, and what it’s like to feel like an outsider.

It would be in high school where he experienced bullying from the rich kids and learned not everyone was accepting of his upbringing that leads Nicky to fall into depression. This is where Nicky’s story would begin. His unique perspective allowed him to see the best in everyone and to use his voice and perspective as a storyteller to share and promote healing. Nicky soon learned all of these events and traumatic experiences would help him see the goodness in people and encourage others to celebrate being unique.

Nicky’s goal with music and art is to remove titles that divide people and to create conversations and art that promotes love, ethics, morals, and values for everyone.

Nicky believes that everyone should have a seat at the table and should have a fair chance to know how powerful they are naturally.

Emotional Intelligence

Emotional Intelligence is the ability to perceive, use, understand, manager and handle emotions.

For me it is understanding what our emotions are telling us and how to communicate to others in a way that empowers who we are. Anger is telling us that we are looking for changes and there is also an insecurity. Sadness is telling us to heal from unprocessed trauma and that we need to nurture ourselves more. Depression is telling us to slow down, rest and to not only nurture ourselves more, but also to find our calling and to let go of the lies and limiting beliefs we were told.
My journey with Emotional Intelligence started when I was living in Los Angeles. After getting more involved and attending parties and events in Hollywood and seeing the culture, I became aware that I could read people and see things other people could not or did not want to.
I started to notice body language and could tell when people were not connected to the conversation. I could look into people's eyes and see the story they weren't telling or what emotions they were feeling.
After a while I started sharing things I noticed with people I cared about regarding their inner circle, their friends and the belief systems of the people around them.
This lead to me working with coaches, entrepeneurs, actors and entertainers to help with their beliefs and to keep good people around them.
During 2020 and 2021 I started to notice how miserable so many people are in the current society we live in and accept. Society trains us to smile and always say we are okay. Social media teaches us to share our edited life. Family often teaches us to not share our emotions or speak our true feelings.
My goal when I'm teaching Emotional Intelligence is for you to celebrate yourself as you are in a world that teaches us that we are not good enough.
